My Craft Space Reveal! | Craft Room Challenge 2018

My Craft Space Reveal | Craft Room Challenge 2018

Alright, who’s excited to see how the last week of the craft room challenge turned out! I’m posting my craft space reveal for you guys, but I’m warning you that it’s very different than what you’re probably expecting to see.

Just to recap, when I first started this challenge, one of my goals was to actually move most of my crafty clutter out of our den so my husband & I can turn it into a second bedroom or nursery down the road. You can see the crazy before photos of the den in my first post here! And here’s how our den looks after all the work I put into it!

FINAL CRAFT SPACE REVEAL: THE DEN IS CLEAN!

It really does feel much better in here now!

I’m keeping all the extra picture frames I have just because once we do turn this space into a second bedroom, I want to make sure I have options on hand for when we put things up on the walls. But I took them out of their cardboard box and put them on the empty bookshelf on the right just so to make everything look less cluttered.

I still have a bit of film equipment in the den, which I need to find a place for. And obviously this space isn’t where I want it to be as far as making it a functional bedroom. But that’s another project for another month!

REVEALS FROM LAST WEEK:

My other overall goals for the challenge included purging & organizing all the craft supplies I keep in our hallway closet & cupboards, as well as to find a space for my in-progress projects. Well, I did all that in my last post as part of Week 3! I’m including the photos again here so you can see all my finished projects in one place!

WHAT I DIDN’T DO DURING WEEK 4:

And all that was left to do this week was do cleaning & decorating. However, this made it both the easiest & the hardest week for me to complete. The cleaning was easy: I deep cleaned the den, wiped down the shelves in our hallway cupboards & closet, and tidied up a few last things.

But the decorating? That had me stumped! I don’t really have a craft corner or anything right now, & the closest thing that comes to that is my brand new secretary desk that I have in our dining room. So I skipped it!

That’s the great thing about this challenge, though. Everyone who’s been participating has different struggles & spaces they are working with, which means that you (the people reading this) should be able to find at least one space you can relate to the most! That’s so exciting. So I’m putting this post out there for you guys who are living in a smaller home & don’t have a craft room to decorate.

And not decorating now makes me look forward even more to figuring out how I can decorate the den when we turn it into a bedroom! So stay tuned for that! 🙂
