Hi folks! Apologies for the very loooong absence. It’s not that I’m suffering from a lack of post ideas for you all, because I have almost a bazillion pictures & drafts waiting to be edited. But this month has been busy, to say the least. More details to come in my October Monthly Recap post, but for now I’m just finally excited to share this easy tutorial with you on how to make chocolate covered pretzels from the comfort of your own home!

Organic and Fair Trade Chocolate Covered Pretzels

I don’t know about you, but growing up, I LOVED chocolate covered pretzels. And now that I’m older, I’ve recently re-discovered what an amazing snack they can be.

However, my tastes have adapted quite a bit over the years. So, when I stumbled across this recipe, I was excited to have discovered an alternative to store-bought packages- which typically don’t utilize fair trade & organic chocolate.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Organic Fair Trade Chocolate
  • Organic Pretzels

I personally prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate because it has caffeine & also plenty of antioxidants. If you’re wondering exactly which organic & fair-trade chocolate I used, this is the one! Straight from Trader Joe’s.

HOW TO MAKE ORGANIC CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS

Step 1: Line Your Baking Sheets

You’ll want to use wax paper for this part.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

I prefer to do this in the microwave, doing so in 30 second intervals. Make sure your glass is microwave safe!

Step 3: Dip Pretzels into Melted Chocolate

Do this with tongs & then set each one onto the wax paper.

Step 4: Place Pretzels in Fridge

Once you have a full baking sheet, you’ll place it in the fridge for at least an hour in order to allow your chocolate to harden.

This recipe is so easy, & you can save yourself some serious bucks by not buying it from the store. Plus, I think they taste better when you know where your chocolate comes from. 🙂
