Hello & happy Friday my friends!

I am so excited to share something with you that I’ve been wanting to talk about this entire year. I’ve been waiting for the right time to bring it up, & now that the holidays are approaching I think it’s perfect timing! Although it’s hard to believe November is already here, right?!

But before I jump into things, I first want to talk about how awesome online shopping can be. There are just so many benefits to it, besides the fact that I can do it from home in pajamas & curled up with a cozy blanket or two.

As if I didn’t already love self-checkout lines, being able to buy things online just makes my life that much better. Can you tell at all that I’m an introvert? 😉

The Best Online Shopping Trick for Saving Money on Home Decor

Online Shopping Allows Me To…

1. Skip the Crowds & Save Time

I don’t really mind crowds when I’m out shopping for Christmas presents, but when crowds equal long lines at understaffed stores, I get a little nutty. I hate feeling like I’m wasting time, when I could be home getting stuff done.

2. Avoid Unnecessary Impulse Purchases

The struggle is real, especially at TargetEven if I go to that store for just one thing, I always have to browse the dollar sections & home decor isles to see if something catches my eye. And more often than not, something does!

3. Take Advantage of Online-Only Discounts & Coupons

I’ve discovered over the years that products are frequently marked up when they are sold in-store as opposed to online. For example, on a recent shopping trip to a major retailer, I scoured the kitchen aisles in search for a specific set of plates that I had just discovered online. When I finally found them, to my dismay, they were priced quite a bit higher than I had expected. So, do you want to know what I did? I placed an online order for the item, & opted to pick up at the store next time I was in the area so that I could pay the lower price. And it was totally worth it for the savings!

My Secret Sauce to Saving Big

So now you know a few of the ways that shopping online can save you time & money.

But there’s one more trick that will help you save even more money with online shopping.

I don’t tell you about this website lightly! I don’t want this to seem like an icky sales-y blog post, because that is not my intention at all.

If you’ve met me in person, you will know I am all about finding the best deals, & decorating my home on a budget. I love sending my friends pictures of what I find at the dollar store. And I love sharing money-saving tips with everyone I know & love. This includes you!

Well, today the best online shopping trick I’m going to be sharing with you is this amazing company called Ebates!

I discovered Ebates about a year and a half ago. And ever since then they have helped me receive even more discounts & cash back from most of my online purchases! Suffice it to say, I am a fan.

But How Does It Work?

Basically, Ebates is a way for retailers to reward you for buying their products & services online as opposed to in a store. You can earn cash back for booking travel accommodations, snatching up good deals on Groupon, or even buying Christmas presents or home decor at Target! As if you need another reason to shop with Target, right?

And I’ll be honest. Sometimes, I am downright lazy.

So I love that Ebates doesn’t require crazy coupon codes or a complicated rebate system to work. In fact, it can be as easy as installing a plugin on your browser & then letting your extra cash back accrue as you do your usual shopping!

After I make a purchase using Ebates, I’m always excited to get my Ebates email soon after, which tells me how much cash back I made from that purchase!

Ebates pays out its members once every three months, & all you have to do to get paid is have a balance of at least $5. If you aren’t to that threshold yet by that time, then your balance will simply be forwarded into the next quarter.

As I said, I don’t like selling stuff to people. But I love sharing my best shopping secrets with my friends. And this is something I’d obsessively tell most people in my life who would appreciate it!

Have I Piqued Your Interest?

So, what do you think?

Does Ebates sound like something that you want to try out? If so, I have great news!!

If you sign up through my affiliate link (*here), & you successfully score some great deals online, you will earn $10 just for being referred by a friend!

How awesome is that?!

Yes, I’m a budget-loving & money-saving nerd. I know it’s super spilling over in this post, but I can’t help it!

Oh, & if you still have some questions about how Ebates works, I recommend checking out their welcome page here. It’s filled with helpful information that I think will get you started on the right track!

Alright, thank you friends for sticking with me to the end of this post! I hope the information was helpful, & I wish you all the best on your journey of home decorating on a budget!
